Guide to Setting Up Proxies (IP & Location) and Browser Fingerprints

This manual walks you through, screen by screen, how to give each account its own IP, location, and browser fingerprint inside the app. Even if it's your first time, you can safely launch your first profile in about 10 minutes.

๐ŸŒ A proxy acts as a per-account VPN ๐Ÿงฌ Auto-generated fingerprint + fine-tuning ๐Ÿ”’ Key security items applied automatically

1 Getting Started ยท What Is a Profile

The heart of this app is the profile. One profile = one independent browser. Each profile keeps its IP (proxy), location, timezone, browser fingerprint, and cookies/logins completely separate, so they can't be linked to one another.

๐Ÿ’ก Want to use it like a "VPN"? With this app you don't need to run a separate VPN app โ€” just add a proxy to a profile and only that profile connects through that IP and country. In other words, think of it as a per-profile VPN.
  1. Launch the app and enter your App Login Key (ADP-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) to activate it. You can find the key in your payment email or at getantidetect.com/account โ†’ "App Login Key".
  2. Open the Profiles menu in the left sidebar. Your current plan and maximum number of profiles are shown here too.
  3. Now you're ready to create a profile (next step).

2 Creating a Profile

On the profile list screen, just enter a name and the fingerprint is generated automatically. You adjust the details afterward under Edit.

  1. In the input box at the top of the profile list, type a name for the new profile. (e.g. shop-1, insta-A)
  2. Click Create โ†’ the profile is added to the list. At that moment a unique browser fingerprint is generated automatically.
  3. Click the Edit button on the profile you just created to open the settings window with the tabs below.

3 Proxy (VPN) Setup

Profile edit โ†’ Proxy tab. This is where you decide which IP and country this profile uses to go out onto the internet.

Choose a mode

๐Ÿ”ง Custom (your own proxy)
Enter a proxy you run or purchased. HTTP / HTTPS proxies supported (SOCKS5 coming later).
๐Ÿšซ No proxy (direct connection)
Uses your own IP as-is. For testing or accessing local sites.
โš ๏ธ If you choose No proxy, you connect with your home/office IP. If your goal is to keep multiple accounts separate, always pick Custom and give each account a different proxy.

Custom entry

Fill in the proxy details you purchased as shown below. In order: Type ยท Host ยท Port, and below that Username ยท Password (only if provided).

HTTP โ–พ
proxy.example.com
8080
username
โ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ขโ€ข
๐Ÿงช Connection Test โœ… 203.0.113.45 (KR) ยท 420ms
Type (scheme)Usually HTTP. If your proxy provider specified HTTPS/SOCKS5, pick accordingly (HTTP/HTTPS recommended for now).
Host ยท PortUse the address and port your provider gave you exactly. The address can even be a numeric IP like 1.2.3.4.
Username ยท PasswordOnly enter these for proxies that require authentication. Leave blank if not needed.
  1. After entering everything, click ๐Ÿงช Connection Test.
  2. If the IP and country appear in green โœ…, it's working. If it turns red โŒ, double-check the address/port/username/password.
  3. You must click Save at the bottom for the settings to take effect. (Look for the "โœ“ Saved" indicator.)
โœ… A good habit: use the Connection Test to check the IP's country first โ†’ then match the "country/fingerprint" (covered next) to that country. If the IP is in the US but the fingerprint and timezone say Korea, sites get suspicious immediately.

4 Entering a Proxy from a Notepad Line ยท SmartProxy

Proxy providers usually give you the details as a single line in a notepad. Just split it by colons (:) and put each piece into the right field. Here are the three most common formats.

Format โ‘  IP:Port โ€” no authentication (HAI IP, etc.)

Example: just an IP and port, like 102.55.231.11:44923.

TypeHTTP
Host102.55.231.11  โ€” before the colon
Port44923  โ€” the number after the colon
Username / PasswordIf none were provided, leave both blank

Format โ‘ก IP:Port:Username:Password โ€” with authentication

Example: if it has 4 colon-separated pieces like 102.55.231.11:44923:myid:mypass, the last 2 are the username and password. (Some providers give it as Username:Password@IP:Port โ€” that's the same values, just in a different order.)

TypeHTTP
Host102.55.231.11  โ€” 1st piece
Port44923  โ€” 2nd piece
Usernamemyid  โ€” 3rd piece
Passwordmypass  โ€” 4th piece
HTTP โ–พ
102.55.231.11
44923
myid
mypass
โ†‘ 102.55.231.11:44923:myid:mypass split across the 4 fields like this.

Format โ‘ข Rotating (residential) proxies like SmartProxy

Rotating proxies such as SmartProxy, Bright Data, and Oxylabs give you a gateway address rather than an IP. For example, something like gate.smartproxy.com:7000 plus a username/password.

TypeHTTP
HostThe gateway address your provider gave you (e.g. gate.smartproxy.com)
PortThe port your provider gave you (e.g. 7000)
UsernameYour SmartProxy account username. If it uses a method that appends country/session to the username, paste the exact string the dashboard generated (e.g. locked to a specific country, including a session-keeping option).
PasswordYour SmartProxy password
๐Ÿ’ก Rotating proxies change the IP every time you open them. If you want to keep the same IP, get a username/endpoint with the sticky session option from the SmartProxy dashboard and enter that value. The country-locking option is also generated into the username from the dashboard.
โœ… Since rotating proxies fix the country to "US, UK," etc., it's safest to set Basic tab โ†’ ๐ŸŒ Country to the same country so the timezone and language match.
โš ๏ธ In all cases โ€” the proxy must be alive for the internet to work. Static IPs like HAI IP require the device/program to be on and connected; rotating proxies require remaining traffic (GB) on the account. After entering it, always confirm a green light (IP & country shown) with the ๐Ÿงช Connection Test. If it's red, the internet won't work yet.

5 Match the Country in One Step (the easiest way)

Once you've decided the country of your proxy IP, just pick the ๐ŸŒ Country in the Basic tab and the timezone, language, and location coordinates are all set consistently to that country automatically.

  1. Edit โ†’ Basic tab โ†’ ๐ŸŒ Country dropdown.
  2. Select the country where your proxy IP is. โ†’ All 4 โ€” timezone ยท language ยท latitude/longitude ยท proxy region โ€” are matched at once.
  3. Afterward, if needed, fine-tune only the details in the Fingerprint tab (next step).
โš ๏ธ If you entered the proxy as Custom, the app doesn't know the actual country of that IP. So when you pick a country, a warning appears: "If the IP's country differs from the country here, it's risky." Always check the IP's country first via Proxy โ†’ Connection Test and match it to the same country.

6 Changing the Fingerprint (Browser Fingerprint)

Edit โ†’ Fingerprint tab. The fingerprint was already generated automatically when you created the profile. This tab is where you set specific values manually only when you need to. Leave a field blank to use the automatic value; enter a value and it overrides the automatic one.

๐ŸŽฒ The simplest way to change the fingerprint = "New Seed." Clicking the ๐ŸŽฒ New Seed button on the right (or Regenerate Seed below) gives this profile a completely new identity. It's the same effect as installing a fresh browser on a new PC. In many cases this alone is enough, even if you don't know the individual settings.

Detailed items (only if you want them)

Profile Type / OS
๐Ÿค– AutoโŠž Windows macOS๐Ÿง Linux๐Ÿ“ฑ Android๐Ÿ“ฑ iOS
Choose mobile (Android/iOS) and the screen, RAM, GPU, and touch all switch to mobile values automatically, so Instagram, TikTok, etc. recognize it as mobile.
๐Ÿ”’ Key security items are applied automatically. Each profile keeps a unique identity while blocking fingerprint tracking. You don't need to touch this part yourself, and the detailed items aren't shown on screen.
  1. Enter only the items you want to change (most don't need touching).
  2. If you want a completely new identity, click ๐ŸŽฒ New Seed or Regenerate Seed (new identity).
  3. Click Save Fingerprint. When "โœ“ Applied โ€” takes effect from the next profile launch" appears, you're done.

7 Launch & Check

Once you've saved your settings, open the profile and verify it.

  1. Click Open on the profile in the list โ†’ its dedicated browser opens. (The proxy connection can take 5โ€“15 seconds.)
  2. If all looks good, log in and work in that profile as usual. When you're done, close the window safely (don't force-quit from the tray) to keep your logins and cookies intact.
โœ… Tip for keeping logins: turn on Cloud Sync in the Basic tab and, even if you switch PCs, your login state is restored when you open the same profile.

8 Apply a Proxy to Everything at Once (optional)

Use this when you want every profile to use the same proxy all at once. It's the ๐ŸŒ Global proxy application area on the profile screen.

  1. Turn on ๐ŸŒ Global proxy application, enter the host and port (and username/password if needed) โ†’ Turn on & apply.
  2. When on, all profiles run through this proxy and individual proxy settings are ignored. New profiles automatically use this proxy too.
  3. Turn it off and each profile reverts to its own proxy settings (individual settings are not erased).
๐Ÿ’ก For multi-account operations where each account must use a different IP, the standard practice is to keep global application off and set a proxy per profile. Global application is only for special cases like "every account on the same company IP."

9 Frequently Asked Questions

My connection test keeps failing โŒ.

โ‘  A typo in the host/port โ‘ก the proxy needs a username/password but you left them blank (or vice versa) โ‘ข the proxy (HAI IP, etc.) is actually turned off โ€” these three are the most common causes. Compare each character against the values your proxy provider gave you, and for static IPs make sure the device/program is on and connected.

Where do I turn on the "VPN"?

There's no separate VPN button. In this app the proxy plays the role of a VPN. Add a proxy to each profile and only that profile connects with that country's IP. Using a different country and different IP per account is the advantage of this approach.

How much of the fingerprint should I change?

For most cases, a single New Seed is enough. Only specify detailed values in the Fingerprint tab when you need to imitate a specific device (e.g. a particular iPhone model or a specific screen size).

My IP is in the US but the timezone shows Korea.

If the IP's country differs from the fingerprint's country, sites get suspicious immediately. Pick the same country as your proxy IP in Basic tab โ†’ ๐ŸŒ Country and the timezone, language, and location are matched at once. If the proxy was entered as Custom, check the IP's country first with the Connection Test.

Can I move a profile to another PC?

Turn on Cloud Sync in the Basic tab and do Upload now, and your logins and cookies are restored when you open the same profile on another PC. The App Login Key is tied to one PC, so when moving PCs, log out on the old PC (or release the device in My Page) and then activate on the new PC.

Why don't my changed settings take effect right away?

Fingerprint and proxy changes take effect from the next launch. Close any browser that's already open and reopen it with Open. Also make sure you clicked Save in each tab (look for the "โœ“ Saved" indicator).
